I'll be in Kyoto for artist-in-residence in this December.
What I'll develop in Kyoto (new work):
I'll study the Japanese traditional art of smelling ceremony called "Kohdo", and from there on I'll develop an original olfactory game under the theme of Artist Summit Kyoto: Jumping toward Tomorrow. It's a game with an essence of performance.
wikipedia: Kōdō (香道 - (Way of Incense) is the Japanese art of appreciating incense, and involves using incense within a structure of codified conduct. Kōdō includes all aspects of the incense process - from the tools (香道具 kōdōgu), which, much like tools of the tea ceremony, are valued as high art, to activities such the incense-comparing games kumikō (組香) and genjikō (源氏香). Kōdō is counted as one of the three classical Japanese arts of refinement (kadō/ikebana/flower arrangement, kōdō/incense, and chadō/tea ceremony), but it is relatively unknown amongst modern Japanese people.
At the same time, I'll show:
eau de parfum PERFECT JAPANESE WOMAN (2008)
Here below is the 3 programs that I'll participate.

After that, he launched the label HrVi to start the work outside the field of fashion using different projects as a platform for his work. He always uses clothing to create silhouettes that portray an atmosphere with a message rather than a collection. His fascination to protect the fragile body began at a very early age. His personal interest in African and South-American culture led to intensive years of studying their cultures to later create silhouettes that not only read but most importantly protect the human body. With exhibitions mainly in Holland and Belgium, he is now collaborating with international projects.
